About Joan
I’m a youthful Boomer and UGC creator based in the Pacific Northwest. I have 70 years of life experience, having been a dentist for 35 years and a freelance illustrator and fine artist throughout my adult life.
But what makes being a UGC creator so fun and engaging for me is my history as a product designer.In 2007 I designed, patented and manufactured a product for recipe storage. I sold it both retail and wholesale across the country and in Canada. It was an exciting and successful venture which only ended when my U.S. manufacturer closed in 2014.
The reason I tell this story is to highlight my love of product-based businesses, and my understanding of all the moving parts behind-the-scenes that make a product successful. I have a deep appreciation for helping companies get the word out about their products.
